Join us on a social history walk through the meadows from Keld to Muker covering the history of religion, reading and recreation in Upper Swaledale. Brief stops will be made outside used (and disused) chapels, churches, literary institutes and public houses. Return from Muker to Keld by foot (via Hartlakes) or catch the 1620 bus in Muker if you prefer. The walk is led by experienced volunteer David Pemberton. Please bring a packed lunch.
Distance: 3.5 miles/5.5km (7.5 miles/12km return).
